Privacy
This notice explains how I handle the personal information you send me through this website.
Who I am
Nick Hughes, Co. Meath, Ireland. For anything to do with your information, email nick@nickyhughes.com.
What I collect
If you use the contact form or email me, I receive your name, your email address and whatever you choose to write in your message. I don't use this website to collect anything else about you.
Why I use it
Only to reply to you and, if we go on to work together, to manage that relationship. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Who sees it
Nobody else. I don't sell or share your details. The website is hosted by WordPress.com (Automattic) and my email is provided by Google. They store and process messages on my behalf, which may involve servers outside the EU under appropriate safeguards.
How long I keep it
If we don't go on to work together, I delete enquiries within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as needed for legal and accounting purposes.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of the information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, at any time. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The hosting platform may use a small number of essential cookies needed for the site to work, and records basic visit statistics. The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google when the page loads.
